New Castle Thunder Dance Team 
As the Thunder 2007 football season nears, it's only fitting to look at the women behind the Thunder players - the Thunder Dance Team. The mission of the dance team is to support the players, staff and fans of The New Castle Thunder. As ambassadors, each team member is committed to representing the Thunder with spirit, pride, dignity and respect. Our team members strive to be positive role models and outstanding athletes. Through dedication, hard work and tremendous team spirit, our cheerleaders will always attempt to promote a special and exciting environment for the entire New Castle Community. The Thunder are preparing to form the cheer/dance performance squad for the 2007 season. Tryouts will be held in the spring and will be open to anyone 18 years or older. Prior experience in cheerleading at the high school or college level is desired. The Thunder are also seeking qualified volunteer coaches/advisors to coach and manage our dance team. The volunteers' job is to prepare our team for games and events and to help them develop the self-esteem needed to be effective cheerleaders. We help our volunteers develop their resumes and will help refer them to full or part time positions if they demonstrate consistency in the volunteer position.
